Job Description

Position Title: Accounting Manager
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
Systems: SAP experience strongly preferred
Certification: CPA preferred (not required)

Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, and supporting month-end and year-end financial close activities. This role will lead and develop accounting staff, streamline processes, and partner closely with leadership to provide meaningful financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including AP, AR, GL, and payroll functions
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and HR
  • Support audits (internal and external) and prepare required documentation
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and workflow optimization
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Utilize SAP to manage financial data, reporting, and process efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on accounting experience with progressive responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks
  • Proficiency with SAP is highly preferred
  • CPA certification is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
